TiffyDialogBot
TiffyDialogBot is an interactive work of alarmist science fiction based on the same IM code as SkippyTalkBot. I replaced Skippy's web-enabled sentence generator with a random sentence generator from the first page of an AI textbook. I translated the code from Lisp to Python and modified a few constants.
TiffyDialogBot's speech patterns are not entirely plausible. In fact they're not entirely printable. I mainly generated them to irritate a friend of mine by presenting her with an unflattering caricature. However, if she (the robot) made a little more sense, she'd probably constitute an entire new porn industry. Add an animated Maya model with Lara Croft exaggerated physical proportions and base her code on Eliza, along with a limited semantic model similar to SHRDLU's, and you've got an automated chatbot stripper. SHRDLU could handle similar "put this up/put this down" semantics, and Eliza's domain included at least as much linguistic variation as Tiffy's. Possibly much more.

The architecture is simple, the profit potential is enormous, there's a huge risk it might happen. It's one thing to read cyberpunk novels about sex bots with identity crises, but it's another thing to have automated robo-hoes propositioning people via unwanted popup windows in the hopes of finding some desperate fool drunk at home alone with a credit card. People will laugh to think that they complained about spam.
Scary, huh?
I want to reiterate, TiffyDialogBot is just a work of alarmist science fiction.
On the other hand, when I tried to set up her AIM login, the name "TiffyPornBot" was already taken.
cue the spooky music...
